I could not believe it at first and leafed through the end of the book. This clearly limits the usability of the book quite considerably! This book is aimed at an international readership, many of which are not native speakers of English and therefore not necessarily familiar with the English names of plants. For international readers who may also use French, Spanish or other guides it makes no sense to learn all these national language names when one name alone can be used across all languages. (That there are also mistakes is an additional issue: Balkan Lizard Orchid is NOT Himantoglossum caprinum, which does not occur in Bulgaria, but Himantoglossum calcaratum [p. 193].)So, overall, there is considerable room for improvement ...
