William Kluback has put together a book of imagined conversations based on the poetical and
philosophical ideas of Léopold Sédar Senghor president of Senegal (1960-1980). A poet and
statesman Senghor believes in the moral evolution of humanity and embodies a universalism rare
in a world of nationalism and power politics.
