Im pretty sure this audiobook broke me.Sadies voice is just so heartbreaking. It weaves a tale of sisterly devotion that’s been nurtured by grief, guilt, and rage. So much rage. This in combination with West McCray’s serialized podcast called “The Girls” makes this so compelling i could not stop listening. It makes you want to keep reading without stopping despite being constantly horrified of the world and of what Sadie had to experience.This audiobook has a full cast with music and sound effects and all. If you are looking for a happy story then you should look for a different story because this is Not a happy story.
