Cast out from the clockwork island of Ironhold Orin Crowfall wakes on a boat in the middle of
the ocean with no idea of how he came to be there. Plagued by perilous seas and with a
terrifying sea monster on his tail Orin eventually washes up on island of Thray which he
discovers is a living organism that can communicate with its people.
