Ibram X. Kendi is a New York Times best-selling author an award-winning historian of racism
and Professor of History and International Relations as well as Founding Director of the
Anti-Racist Research and Policy Center at American University in Washington DC. He is the
author of the award-winning The Black Campus Movement and his writing has appeared in Black
Perspectives Salon The New York Times The Huffington Post and The Root . Before entering
academia he trained and worked as a journalist.
