This dissertation examines the transmission of Sino-Judaic cultural identity in Kaifeng in its
historical and contemporary forms. Validating the Kaifeng Jews' authenticity claims it
suggests that their distinct translated heritage has contributed significantly to both
Diasporic and Chinese histories.
