The book Lochergut - A Portrait presents the history of the urban housing development from
several different perspectives. Texts by Prof. Dr. Christian Schmid and Prof. Markus Peter
respectively place the building in a sociological and an urban planning architectural context.
16 interviews with residents and experts discuss events that occurred inside and around the
Lochergut estate providing insight into everyday life in the high-rise development.
Competition entries architectural sketches and documents from the City Archive combine to
produce a comprehensive publication that has been lacking to date and is long overdue.
