'Amnesties and the International Criminal Court. A Study on the Possibilities of Considering
Amnesties in International Criminal Proceedings': The ICC has already come into conflict with
amnesties. Yet it has not yet developed any guidelines for dealing with them. That is why this
thesis attempts to answer the question of whether and how the recognition of amnesties is
possible with a view to conflict resolution. The analysis shows that a discontinuation of the
proceedings within the meaning of Art. 53 RS is possible in acute emergency situations
particularly from the point of view of victim protection prevention and peacekeeping.
