The book composed by Dr. Mahabat Sadyrbek on voluntary basis for more then ten years is a
mixture of normative scientific and comparative grammar of Kyrgyz - one of the oldest Turkic
language and the official language of Kyrgyz Republic. This book can be used both in the
classroom and for self-study. It contains the most important basics of the Kyrgyz language
which is organized according to main grammatical categories. These are instructed step-by-step
and explained in detail. Each chapter covers useful explanations words and expressions
relevant to the topic of the discussion. In addition there is a lot of brief information about
Kyrgyz history culture literature and the socio-economic and political situation in the
country. The examples and vocabulary are derived from the modern spoken Kyrgyz.
