A first look at the total work of art developed by artist Lap-See Lam with Kholod Hawash and
Tze Yeung Ho for the Nordic Countries Pavilion at the 2024 Venice Biennale. The Nordic
Countries Pavilion at the 60th Venice Biennale will be turned into a dragon ship filled with
mythological water creatures in search of their roots. In collaboration with the Moderna Museet
Stockholm Lap-See Lam Kholod Hawash (Finland) and composer Tze Yeung Ho (Norway) will be
presenting The Altersea Opera: an experimental opera an audio-visual adventure about being in
a state of loss and longing the mutability of myth and connecting through multilingualism. In
dreamlike images by photographer Mai Nestor the readers of this book will follow the
