rise - between these two poles of the early Rassenhygiene or Eugenik different positions and
recommendations were proposed for the prevention of the so-called Entartung of the modern
Kulturmenschheit or the promotion of the so-called Höherzüchtung. The suggested agendas covered
limited assistance for so-called weak special facilitation or ban of marriage and forced
sterilization to the point of state-controlled reproduction of human beings. As a consequence
by the end of the 19th and at the beginning of the 20th century an extensive variety of
rassenhygienischer literature emerged in Germany forming the basis for the present discourse
analysis.
