The Dutch breathing therapist and teacher Cornelis Veening (1895-1976) who was active in
various places in Europe pioneered his own methods. This book contains excerpts from his
letters and lectures numerous recollections and statements by his students and contributions
from contemporary breathing therapists and teachers concerning his life and work. The book
attests to the uniqueness and contemporary relevance of Veening's approach to breathing therapy
which mainly revolves around the experience of the invigorating body-soul forces of the Inner
Breath. This in turn incites change that gives rise to individual awareness processes and
promotes self-development both from within and outwardly.
