Border City - Chapter 2 continues the international interfaculty and interdisciplinary
research expedition to the Mexican-American border with students studying civil engineering
fine arts and urbanism in 2016. Back in Mexico it is about identifying documenting and
demonstrating changes in life circumstances and structural problems. This time the focus lays
on the self-organized bottom-up initiatives in Tijuana.More recently than ever the border
between San Diego and Tijuana shows the international foreclosure tendencies and concomitant
conflict potential as an example for the whole world.The project group again investigated
cross-disciplinary and holistic solutions in the spirit of the Bauhaus concept.With
