Vidyapati also known as Maithil Kavi Kokil (the poet cuckoo of Maithili) was a Maithili and
Sanskrit poet composer writer courtier and royal priest. Vidyapati was a devotee of Shiva
but also wrote love songs and devotional Vaishnava songs. These works present the collection of
the best of his works inspired by Indian folklore.
