This book investigates the roles of industrial clustering and of tertiary educational
institutions in the development of industrial clusters and competitiveness. It examines the
concept of regional development through industrial clustering to understand the relationships
and factors influencing coopetition (cooperation and competition) between government companies
and tertiary educational institutions. In addition the book proposes applicable models and
methods for improving the dynamics of government tertiary education national research
institutes and firms in order to improve the skills knowledge innovation and competitiveness
of industrial clusters using Thailand's automotive cluster as a central case study.
