of the Rings - Art Scale 1 10 statue  showcasing one of Sauron’s dreaded Dark Riders as
depicted in the iconic film trilogy directed by Peter Jackson  based on the work of J.R.R.
Tolkien. These once-great kings of men  nine in total  fell to the corrupting power of Sauron 
each receiving one of the nine Rings of Power. Over time  their bodies faded  transforming them
into wraiths—ghostly entities bound to serve Sauron’s will. Only Sauron or the bearer of the
One Ring can perceive their presence  as they appear as pale  burning-eyed figures with silver
helmets and tattered black cloaks. Their haunting appearance  clad in black armor  resembles
that of the Grim Reaper. The Nazgûl  feared lieutenants in Sauron's army  include the
Witch-king of Angmar  the most lethal of all. In Peter Jackson's film adaptation  all nine
Nazgûl are seen as they hunt Frodo and Arwen. When the heroes cross the Bruinen river near
Rivendell  Arwen conjures a flood that forms into a stampede of horses  sweeping the Nazgûl
away and causing them to lose their horses in the flood. 43 cm
