What is Benebone? Dogs love the taste push durability to the limit and can lie down for hours
chewing. That is why Benebone uses real flavors of chicken bacon fish peanut and maple wood.
It is a very durable chew toy made of super strong nylon all from the USA and designed for a
paw-friendly grip that can entertain the dog for hours. Benebone are chew toys and are not
edible. As any chew toy or bone wears down it is possible that some of it may be eaten so
keep an eye on your dog. Depending on the size quantity and timing of ingestion non-edible
products can cause gastrointestinal problems. Be careful - if you think any of the Benebone may
be eaten it must be removed immediately. Is your dog an aggressive chewer? Benebone is made of
nylon which is a hard material. Aggressive chewing can cause chips or cracks in the teeth and
possibly result in the loss removal of teeth. Not all dogs have the teeth to withstand
aggressive chewing of hard materials such as nylon. Tooth damage is an inevitable risk when
using chew toys of this hardness and durability such as nylon natural bone and antler.
Consider softer products to avoid this risk if the dog is an aggressive chewer. But don't
forget the puppy product line which is a bit softer. Benebones are also not suitable for or
older dogs who may have reduced tooth strength. See more about safety here https:
www.benebone.com safety Which size should you choose? On each Benebone there is an approximate
guideline for which size to choose. Benebones is not suitable for dogs that weigh more than our
recommended guidelines or for dogs that are very strong or very aggressive chewers. Therefore
always choose the largest product your dog can handle even if you have a dog rated for a
smaller size. The Small and Puppy variants are very small these must not be given to larger
dogs. ATTENTION! All Benebone are marked in pounds and not kilos. 1 pound corresponds to
approximately 0.5 kg. When should I replace the dog's Benebone? Benebone are durable and
designed to last and retain flavor longer than most chew toys. Anywhere from a few days to a
few weeks or more but we recommend replacing it monthly if wear indicates it. Generally if
pieces the size of rice or smaller fall off the Benebone these generally do not cause a
problem. However if there is a risk that larger pieces may fall off the bone must be
discarded and replaced with a new one. See a guide for replacement here: https:
