Water-based batik dye for dyeing cotton fabrics in dye baths etc. 100 ml of dye is sufficient
for 700 g of white cotton fabric (the black dye is sufficient for 350 g of fabric). The dye is
added to water kitchen salt and fixing salt and is then machine washable.Dye bath: Dissolve 1
kg of fine kitchen salt in 2 litres of hot water in a tub. Add a further 4 litres of water at
30 and 60 °C. The colder the water the lighter the colour. The warmer the water the darker
and brighter the colours. Add 100 ml of batik dye and 200 grams of fixing salt. Stir - and the
dye bath is ready. Place the fabrics in the dye bath for between 5 and 20 minutes. The longer
the time the darker the colour - and vice versa. Use disposable gloves. Rinse the textiles in
several loads of water until the water runs clear. Machine wash at the end. When fully dyeing
textiles in the washing machine place the textiles in the drum. Add kitchen salt batik dye
and fixing salt dissolved in 1 litre of water to the drum and start the washing programme at
30-60 °C.
