The first in an exciting duology set in a futuristic Victorian land starring a shy one-eared
fox-like character known only as Number Thirteen. Growing up in the Home for Wayward and
Misbegotten Creatures Thirteen and the other part-animal part-humans are forbidden to enjoy
anything regular children have most particularly singing and music. He goes out into the world
to seek his destiny.
