As a visual artist Dieter Huber has sifted through the history of culture for aspects of LOVE
and developed the extensive work AMANTI Spiele der Liebe with 366 pictures over several years.
The texts about AMANTI are a subjective collection from the fields of philosophy poetry
culture sociology art religion and opera as well as from love letters and song texts that
transcends both time and place. References to previous cycles of works and visual quotations
from the history of art round off these various forms of love. In the two-volume AMANTI
publication the pictures are presented opposite the respective author and the passages of
texts used. This anthology of love in paperback format is conceived as a source of inspiration
for one's own fantasies and experiences in the boundless and exhilarating realm of love.
