The human body interacts with the changing environmentand tries to maintain its body core
temperature within anarrow temperature range of 37 ± 0.5 °C. The transfer of heatand moisture
between the human body and its surroundingenvironment depends on many factors e.g.
environmentalconditions the activity level of the human body and clothingcharacteristics.
Among these factors clothing properties arethe only one that can be managed according to their
end use.Since clothing acts as an interface and barrier it has a greatinfluence on the thermal
transmission between the humanbody and the environment which is in turn essential for highwear
comfort. This work proposes innovative simulationtechniques to generate a comprehensive
solution for evaluatingthe thermophysiological parameters of the human body aswell as the
thermal comfort of different textile materials. Thissimulation considers the mechanical and
thermal propertiesof clothing which both have a great influence on fit andnonuniformair gaps
between clothing and human body. Thissimulation process offers a fast intelligent and
qualitativedesign solution for sectors involving outdoor work andsafety clothing as well as
sportswear which is required in thisrapidly developing and advanced technological era.
