Pearl-Maiden explores the story of Miriam who was born just after the first persecution of the
Christians soon after the Crucifixion and Resurrection. Although her parents didn't survive
she became a Christian and an observer of the fall of Jerusalem to Rome. The story's characters
are excellently developed and the twists and turns add to its charms.
