'¿Platform Courts¿ and Fundamental Rights. The Binding Nature of Fundamental Rights Regarding
Quasi-Judicial Platform Councils and their Contribution to the Protection of Users using the
Example of Meta's Oversight Board': At the latest with the introduction of ¿quasi-judicial
platform councils¿ social network providers are assuming tasks traditionally assigned to state
jurisdiction. They are accused of acting as absolutist governors of the internet. Against the
backdrop of the dangers arising from this the dissertation examines if those bodies are bound
by fundamental rights and their contribution to the protection of users' rights using the
example of Meta's Oversight Board.
