Note: you could probably read „Come Tumbling Down“ without knowledge of what happened before. But I don’t recommend it. You should at least have read „Every Heart a Doorway“ to get the necessary information about the world and Jack’s backstory.ReviewI really love this unusual series! The writing is lyrical in the best of ways, the world building is unique and artfully done and the characters are original and likable in a strange way.This time, Jack, who hat killed her sister Jill to prevent her from killing more innocents at Ms West’s school, is back from her chosen world, the Moors, to get help. To get the help of her former classmates to right an incredible wrong, to be exact. In her world, Jack had resurrected Jill (a common thing in a world just like an old black and white horror movie) and Jill did repay her by doing some unspeakable things. So Christopher, Sumi, Cora and Kade buckle up and follow Jack to the Moors to meet drowned gods, their priests and some vampire. And yes, it’s a cool quest for the gang and for the reader. This is one of my favorite books of this series, it’s really magic poured into words.
