how my life has changed in the past 5 years! While working on a regular IT job in India I
heard about a volunteering year in Germany and saw this as the key to my independent world.
Despite facing numerous rejections I eventually made it to Germany. What was it like to start
new in a foreign land coming from a conservative South Indian Christian family? This book is
the realization of a big dream - a short autobiography of my life journey in Germany. It
recounts my journey of immersing in a new culture connecting with people learning the
language and adapting to the lifestyle as well as my efforts to fully integrate into it all.
