Die Gemeinschaft Evangelischer Kirchen in Europa (GEKE) sieht sich gemeinsam mit anderen
Kirchen in der Pflicht in einer verständlichen anregenden und ermutigenden Art und Weise von
Gott zu reden. Dieses aus einem mehrjährigen Studienprozess hervorgegangene Dokument hat die 9.
Vollversammlung der GEKE 2024 angenommen und es als wegweisenden Beitrag zur Verständigung über
das gegenwärtige Reden von Gott in der GEKE charakterisiert. Nachdem es zunächst die
Bedingungen für den Diskurs über Gott im europäischen Protestantismus darstellt werden
Grundzüge eines trinitarischen Gottesbildes und des Wirkens Gottes entworfen die sich
besonders der modernen Kritik des Konzeptes der Allmacht Gottes stellen. Christliches Reden von
Gott schließt das Reden zu Gott mit Gott und von Gott her in Gottesdienst und Gebet ein was
in eigenen Kapiteln bedacht wird. Abschließend werden unterschiedliche soziale Kontexte
aufgezeigt in denen sich christliches Reden von Gott zu bewähren hat. The Communion of
Protestant Churches in Europe (CPCE) together with other churches sees it as its duty to
speak of God in an understandable inspiring and encouraging way. This document the result of
a study process lasting several years was approved by the 9th General Assembly of the CPCE in
2024 and is characterised as a groundbreaking contribution to the understanding of the current
way of speaking about God in the CPCE. Following a presentation of the conditions for the
discourse on God in European Protestantism it outlines the basic features of a Trinitarian
view of God and God's work taking particular account of modern criticism of the concept of
God's omnipotence. Christian speaking of God includes speaking to God with God and from God in
worship and prayer which is considered in separate chapters. Finally different social
contexts in which the worth of Christian speaking of God must be proven are shown.
